National Honor Society

The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Community Service Hours: A total of 10 hours per semester are required to maintain your NHS membership in good standing.

The National Honor Society (NHS) is an organization dedicated to recognizing and encouraging outstanding high school students in grades 10-12. The National Honor Society estimates that today, more than one million students participate in their activities. Allen Village School has 41 current members and inducted 36 new members.

The National Junior Honor Society requirements include maintaining a high-grade point average (the national minimum is a 3.5 or all A's and one B) and becoming good citizens (by participating in service projects). The NJHS requires some sort of school service to the community, school, or other organization. Allen Village School has 30 current members and inducted 25 new members.

The National Junior Honor Society is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle level students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship.
